Monkey ...The Hero

It was a rainy season and the Jungle was on the verge of getting flooded. The rabbits leaving in the holes were the worst victims as all the holes were covered with silts and mud deposits brought by the flowing waters. The rabbits have to leave under tree in open. They were leaving under constant exposure to cold rain water and as a result they started falling ill.

In order to help them the team of The Doctor Beer started living near to their tree. But there were another danger that the team of Doctors was not able to help. Due to their open house shelter, the rabbits were easily becoming prey of Lions, Cobras and the wily Foxes.

The Beers soon informed Meenu Monkey of the situation. Meenu was the most intelligent creature in the whole forest and was always ready to help his fellow friends. Meenu had a meeting with Beers and the rabbits. The situation was discussed in details. Meenu then called his Friend the Kalia Crow and asked him to find a suitable place for the rabbits away from the Cobras, Lion and the Foxes.

Kalia Crow started flying from one corner of the jungle to another but could not find any place that would be completely safe. He came back and told Meenu of the situation. Kalia also told Meenu that he had found a place where Cobras never go but Lions and Foxes often visit the place.

Meenu thought a bit over the situation and decided to inspect the place. Along with Kalia, he went to the place and found a small Island developed because of the heavy rain, near to the suggested place. Meenu find the place suitable and asked the rabbit team to migrate to the place. The place was safe as the Lion and Foxes could never reach the island because of the surrounding water. Plus, the cobras never visit this place.

Rabbits came near the place. Now the problem is how to cross the water. Meenu called his monkey team and asked to join their tails in such a manner that it acted as a big rope. The tail rope was tied with the tree trunk and an umbrella left by the picnickers were tilted upside down to be used as a boat One end of the tail rope was tied at the umbrella's handle.

The rabbit team was divided in the group of ten, depending upon weight and size and asked to sit in the Umbrella. The umbrella with rabbits started floating and moving forward as the tail rope tied at the tree trunk was loosened. Once the boat reached the island the rabbits got down and the boat was pulled back again by tightening the tail rope at the tree trunk.

The process was repeated and every rabbit was left at a safer place. The island was fertile and soon they started growing carrots their. After 3 months the water started going down and life came to normalcy. The rabbits thanked Meenu, Kalia and Beers for the help at the time they needed it most.
