The Demon and The Princess

The Princess Angelina was of very different nature. Unlike other princess, she was very down to earth and had no interest in the royal comforts and wealth. She often sets forth for near by jungle and spends her days alone in deep thoughts. Her parents thought of marrying her with the Prince Sylvester of Heartcity. But she showed no interest and refused every time any king or prince came to propose her for marriage.

Her parents asked her what she wanted. She replied she is looking for brave man with intelligence and not a fool prince who has got richness in inheritance. One day, as her normal routine she left for jungle but while resting under a big green tree, she was attacked by a tiger and fainted.

When she woke up she found herself in small hut. She can see a young handsome man making medicine. She asked where she is and recalled that she was attacked by a tiger. The young man told, he is Dr. Arnold, who leaves in this jungle to treat sick and wounded wild animals. He was on his routine round when he saw tiger attacking the princess. He immediately hit the tiger with a poisonous dart that had made the tiger unconscious for 5 hours.

The princess thanked Dr. for saving her life and left for her palace. She was impressed by the Doctor and wanted to marry him. But it was too early to decide so she thought of giving herself some time.

She started meeting Dr. Arnold almost everyday. One day while going back she was abducted by a one horned demon. The demon was very ugly and cruel. He proposed princess for marriage and said if she refused he will kill her entire family including her. She had no option but to accept. She then planned for a trick.

She said she is the cursed princess and soothsayers have predicted that if she gets married to one horned demon, her husband will die soon. The demon got afraid and asked what the option is. She said, she knew a doctor in the forest who can help him.

She took the demon to Dr. Arnold and finding an opportunity revealed the whole story to the Doc. The doc said he can not kill his patient even if he is a demon as that will be treachery to his profession. He is committed to save lives and not to kill anyone.

The doc then had another plan to save his princess. He made a horn similar to his and planted that on demon's head. The demon when looked in the mirror said thanks to the doctor as he now looks exactly like the other members of his group. He was leaving a secluded life because of his unique one horn. He thanked princess for bringing him to the Doc and said he his going back to his clan and set the princess free.

The doc and princess turned happy at this. The princess came back to her palace told the entire story to the king and also her feeling for the Doctor Arnlold. The king and the queen met Doctor and liked him too. The princess was married to the doctor and she leaved a happy life with the prince of her `dream.
